LAYTON - Despite losing a number of key players from the 2007 State Runner-up Layton team, the cupboard isn’t exactly bare. LaVaughn Jackson, who scored a 97-yard kickoff return is back to help this Lancer team defend their Region 5 championship and keep Layton successful.

Layton will start the season taking on Bonneville, a game heard exclusively on totalUTAHpreps.com on August 22, then take on pre-season favorite Cottonwood before battling the other Region 5 foes.
